Munnar hill station is the most frequented tourist destinations in Kerala. Best time to Visit Munnar
The best time for Munnar tourism is during September to April. You can visit Munnar throughout the year except the Kerala monsoon in June/July. The weather is extremely cold during winter (December/January). Take extra woolen garments during heavy winter season.
How to Reach Munnar
By Air:The nearest airports from Munnar are at Kochi (130 km) and Madurai (142 km). Major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kochi are well connected to Trivandrum, from where you can proceed ahead to your destination.
By Road: Munnar is connected by a well-developed network of roads to all parts of Kerala and neighboring states. It is a preferred way of traveling since it is the only way that gives local connectivity in Munnar. Traveling by road is the best option as it gives access to even the remotest places of Munnar, which are not reachable via other modes of transport.
By Rail: The nearest railway station is Aluva, at about 120 km. Ernakulam is 140 km and may be more comfortable if you are traveling from south.
